As you may know, the radio is a proven method for product advertisements. There are many reasons people listen to the radio. They do it for entertainment, to listen to music or they have a favorite radio show they like to listen to. If you have not noticed yet there are advertisements in between each little program, song or contest that they offer for each radio station.

This has been an ongoing trend for many years in advertising. The radio medium today is getting more and more behind the audio-visual mediums such as the internet and TV. Alright so we have to implement new strategies to be able to continue to even have a slight benefit to audio. 

This in turn gave us the "music on websites" a few years back. Before this time we did not have embedded music, we were just downloading it from the websites.They were pure MP3 files and nobody could play them on the website. Because people wanted the music and the files were hosted on their server, companies were able to get a nice stream of visitors to their sites. If you are not totally new to the internet you should know that traffic is a big role for internet marketers in modern age. This is where you get leads and boost in sales.

This generated a problem with illegal music downloading. Artists who had their music published claimed to be loosing millions. 

This is when Internet Music Streaming became popular and most people started to use this as a method for getting their revenue up. Since radio is limited to only playback, or you need some fancy equipment to record. Of course those days are over, but now it is so much easier just to press "download" and get your playing audio to the computer. Since streaming audio can not be downloadable by the common person this gave the companies a freedom of protection again. This means that the copyrights of the creators to the music are protected.

How can one stream audio that is protected and can not be downloaded? There are many ways to go about this task. You can go to many sites on the web and tune in to their radio station. Here they provide you with an affilaite radio link. This means you do "nothing" to produce the content of your site. FREE information, always nice!

What this basically does for you is update your content for you, by itself! Your visitors gets a new radio show each day and you do not do anything, but link to other peoples stations.

To get this you will need to sign up for your desired internet radio station and provide some information for a radio link embedded in a HTML code for you to post on blogs and websites. 

 There is another way that is good too, that is streaming mp3 files. To do this you will need an FTP server and some mp3 files to stream. You link to these files and when a  user clicks the link, the media is played in an embedded player. This however makes the file downloadable. There are people who offer scripts to protect from this, but now there is always a way to download the file. If it can be heard it can be recorded. This is illegal to do and I do not advise you to go download other peoples files and stream for yourself. Be sure you have the legal rights to stream the audio before doing so.
