How to Make it in 2007
Written by Christopher Stigson

To be able to make it online in 2007 we strongly recommend you get your eyeballs on Video/Audio. Ofcourse old techniques still apply, no doubt. They have been working forever. If this is new to anyone then check out our reviews and other articles. There we share som more information, also feel free to go to the Forums and check that out! These things I was talking about include simple things such as..

  • Articles

  • Press Releases

  • Forum Posting

  • Blogging

  • Banner Exchange

  • Social Networking Sites

  • Blogging

What we don't see here is Audio and Video. Why is this good you might ask?

People want everything to go smoothly and do as little work as possible by themselves. People are by nature lazy in modern age, that is why we have to fly above the race and take charge. We do this by adding video to our website describing anything in as much detail as possible in a reasonable amount of time. Why? People rarely watch a YouTube Video that is 10 minutes long unless that video is recommended STRONGLY by a friend. Some do, I havesat down and watched videos longer than 10 minutes many times, but the majority do not! We have to think about the whole, but we also want to target our market.

What is a good video length?

I would suggest anything from 2-5 minutes. That is a perfect length for marketing. Also if doing this, be sure not to include your website at the "end" of your movie. You either want a watermark on the whole movie with your url, or you want it to be in the introduction!

What is a good theme for your movie?

That is not a good question, it's a great question. What I do is (depending on market ofcourse) look for pictures that involve my niche, so let's say I am doing something about dogs and I want to market that on YouTube or Break.com then I would start by getting as many pictures of dogs as possible. Not any pictures! No, either

  • Funny

  • Fat

  • Ugly

  • Wearing something funky

  • Doing something fun

  • Provocing somebody

  • Curiousity envoking pictures!

These are the kind of pictures you'd want to create your movie for upload. You can then upload these videos to YouTube and Break.com. There are many other out there, simply search on google for "Video site", "Video directory", "Share a video", you know, things to that nature. Search Engines always give you great sites on the top!

Alright, so what more to include?

You'd want to make the movie rather simple. You do not want it to look like an ad, but it clearly is an ad. lol. At the same time you want people to watch it thouroghly enough to click to your link that is ALWAYS a watermark. What this means is that there is a small text showing your companys logo or website. Sometimes both. I can honestly tell you that 10,000 visitors a month is no big deal at all if you do this correctly!

Me and many other have done projects just like this and gotten litteraly hundreds, often thousands of clicks in just hours! The important thing is to do it correctly. Correctly is, making it interesting enough for me to click to link to find out more, and not to advert looking that they know that it's an ad. That is why watermark is great. Take the ugly dogs for example. That is a great one! Take the ugliest dogs you can find and then say, this is a beauty, this one is really nice, and meanwhile the dogs are just getting uglier and uglier.. In the end say, "the ugliest one of all.... is", ".... on this link- YOURLINK.COM".. now people are so pumpedup that they click that link just to find out. Here you can sell, have advertising, or adsense, and at the same time reveal your dog. After this you'd have a pop-up "Did you like this?" send to a friend. They send to their friend and your community site with dogs, or just plain humor site builds. Recommended for this is adseense with articles for your target keywords. Ofcourse you can sell screensavers, wallpapers, themes, anything really. Maybe a book on how to make your dog look better and NOT like these dogs. You can see the possibilites, right?

Why don't you have any video?

GOOD question! I have links to people who use it. I think that is enough for my site. I couldn't fit it into my template the way I wanted to have it. There is however a slight possibility that I will start making camtasia video of a typical day, or go over some techniques on video. So if you'd be interested in these kind of videos then feel free to post suggestions in our discussion board. I will try to see what topics are the hottest and give you what you want, that is how we do business around here. You ask for someting and I do my absolute best to give you a good resource for that information, or give it to you myself. Hop onto the forums :)

Thanks! Christopher
